NEW VOICES 2008 - A six week Sabbatical for Seniors (60+)

Dates: October 24th - December 6th 2008: Final Eucharist. Departure after breakfast 6th December.

Cost A$3000. This course provides an opportunity to:

  • Share personal and faith journeys
  • Engage in dialogue with scripture, tradition and the contemporary world A
  • A Retreat will also be included during the New Voices program

The program includes a retreat open to non-participants of New Voices.

Retreat Dates: Evening 23rd November (After 6pm Dinner ) to 30th November (Finishes after breakfast).

Holy Week Retreat : 5th April to 12th April 2009.

This retreat begins with the evening meal on Sunday 5th April and concludes after breakfast on Easter Sunday 12th April.

Mary MacKillop - A Woman of the Beatitudes

A six day guided retreat in honour of the centenary of Mary's death. We consider Mary's life and spirituality in the light of Matthew's Gospel account of the Beatitudes. A model emerges for 'being happy' and for moving forward in the 21st century.

The Way of Contemplation

Through the works of Thomas Merton, Anne E. Carr, James Finlay and others this retreat will explore what it means to us to be drawn to contemplation and to live out of a contemplative understanding of life.

Group 2: From Sunday 4th October to Sunday 11th October

The Mystics Friends for our Lives: Series Two

The experiences, insights and wisdom of the great medieval mystics, Mechtild of Magdeburg, Clare of Assisi, Hildegarde of Bingen and Gertrude the Great ofhefta will be used as the starting point for ourprayer and our inspiration for daily living.
